Swiss Emmaus Leprosy Relief Work India to present at the International Leprosy Congress

Swiss Emmaus Leprosy Relief Work India (SEI) presented five abstracts to the International Leprosy Congress (ILC) out of which two abstracts are accepted for oral presentations. SEI will be presenting its work and learning on ‘strengthening comprehensive mental health and psycho-social impact on people affected by leprosy’ a study supported by WHO India and a research study on ‘leprosy and migration in India’ a pilot study supported by Novartis Healthcare Private Limited (NHPL). SEI has also been invited to submit e-posters at the event, namely, ‘Definition of “Migrant” for the National Leprosy Eradication Program (NLEP), India’, ‘Rapid Health Need Assessment for a new project in Durg district, Chhattisgarh State’, Developing & standardizing a counselling manual & training curriculum in Leprosy in India, and ‘Identifying Gaps and Challenges in Knowledge around Leprosy in Chhattisgarh, India’. The Congress is scheduled to take place in Bali, Indonesia from 05th – 09th July 2025, and SEI will be presented by its Executive Director – John Kurian George.
