Job Description

The Corporate Fundraising Manager will be responsible for devising and implementing a successful program of fundraising from the corporate sector to an agreed annual target which is based on the planned budget.

Job Purpose

  • To help Swiss Emmaus India to work build partnerships with the corporate and corporate foundations in India for fundraising and public association.
  • To develop and manage SEI strategy for raising funds from Corporates as an integral part of the SEI overall fundraising program.
  • Will also be responsible for establishing and promoting the brand Swiss Emmaus Leprosy Relief Work India and raising awareness about the organisation’s work in the public, especially with the corporate India.
  • To forge long-term mutually beneficial relationships with corporate supporters and raise funds towards the ongoing work of SEI India. In order to successfully accomplish this it is essential to nurture and maintain existing corporate relationships and develop an extension and replacement strategy with the COM Fundraising
  • Will be responsible to manage, identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewardship of portfolio of new partners to help towards the achievement of SEI India annual fundraising goal based on the approved plan and Target.
  • Will generate income from the corporate sector, specifically through large-scale integrated Charity of the Year partnerships, MNC, SME, employee fundraising & volunteering, payroll giving and CRM (Cause Related Marketing) campaigns.
  • Will be expected to build relationships with relevant corporate bodies and produce compelling bids and deliver pitches to win new corporate sponsorship income.
  • Is expected to travel extensively at short notice.
  • Develop and maintain your own portfolio of companies as part of this programme and take responsibility for delivering and developing plans for securing new income from businesses by identifying growth areas and opportunities within the corporate sector.
  • Monitor CSR/Corporate Responsibility issues in the media, and keep up to date with professional fundraising associations and media regarding fundraising tools and skills development.
  • To develop professional solicitation proposals and undertake presentations at senior level meetings.
  • To develop and write funding proposals, corporate applications and reports.
  • To manage relationships with Corporates before, during, and after receipt of funds and maintain a high level of supporter care with Corporate.
  • Track, analyse and report on fundraising results in the Corporate field and measure, manage and report performance using agreed performance measures.
  • Work closely with the events fundraiser to maximise corporate contacts leverage and manage corporate participation in the events programme.
  • Actively seek sponsorship to support SEI events.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • You will be on three months’ probation and expected to deliver as per the approved plan.
  • Your confirmation of your employment will be based on your performance during the three months’ probation.
  • As part of your Job you will have to travel to the project site/corporate HQ depending on requirement.
  • You’re expected to raise funds through corporate fundraising activities.
  • Please find below the minimum target you must achieve during this period:
    • Researching and formulating a database of potential corporate donors.
    • Develop new corporate relationships through networking events, meetings, use of fundraising initiatives and corporate events.
    • Preparing and presenting concept notes, proposals and presentations to potential donors.
    • Your plan must be in line with the approved budget
    • You must make sure that you work as per the approved plan.
  • Work on clear, measurable and aggressive goals and timelines for raising funds and continually monitor and report progress on a monthly level.
  • Develop opportunities for payroll-giving, employee fundraising and other forms of corporate engagement.
  • Acknowledge corporate donations and ensure visibility for the corporate including positive press coverage.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, developments in the corporate sector, rules and reporting requirements of the Companies Act pertaining to sections on CSR and concepts/practices pertaining to Creating Shared Value (CSV).
  • To be well versed in CSR policies in general and should have access to various Indian corporate through forums.
  • To create a database of the corporate organizations in India, and regularly update it.
  • Maintain a network of corporate contacts and effectively manage and maximise these relationships
  • To prepare and submit project proposal for corporate and other funding agencies.
  • Organizing corporate events such as charity balls, Stalls, galas or sporting events involving Corporate.
  • Ensure all funding Corporate receive appropriate and timely reports and updates
  • To organize meetings and fundraising camps at the corporate offices.
  • To respond to new call for proposal through the public domain.
  • Actively contribute to planning and budgeting especially regarding corporate fundraising within the Fundraising team
  • To meet SME on regular basis and get their support from time to time
  • To meet face to Face with corporate link and SME to generate funds for the organization
